In our platform, you can to tailor your team structure to fit your business needs. This allows you to design a hierarchy that aligns with your company and operational style. We offer 2 types of leadership roles: Conveya roles and custom roles.
Leadership roles will have the capability to:
- Access the employee profiles in their people directory, linked through their reporting line.
- Access specific features, subject to granted permissions.
- Get notifications related to their employees, based on allowed permissions.
- View relevant data on the dashboard for reporting and analysis.
Conveya roles
These roles are built into our platform and features - which means you would not be able to edit the name or delete these roles. You have the flexibility to adjust the permissions for each role to suit your needs. Let's dive deeper into the specific functions of the standard roles on our platform:
- Movement Manager - The Movement Manager is integral to our platform, overseeing departments or projects where employees rotate to develop diverse skills. This role is intricately linked with movement.
- Manager - The Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining an overarching view of progress within their reporting line. Though not directly involved in ground-level details, they are responsible for generating reports and providing insights into the overall progress. They also play a pivotal role in crisis management, stepping in to drive solutions in critical situations.
- Supervisor - Positioned closer to the day-to-day operations, the Supervisor handles on-the-ground tasks. This includes assessing and managing logbooks, monitoring daily activities, and ensuring that all immediate tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.

Custom roles
You have the ability to add up to five custom leadership roles. These roles are yours to define and are a way to tailor the platform to fit your company's unique needs and culture. Example, If you have a leadership role like 'Mentor' in your organisation, you can manage and track this on Conveya.
ℹ️ Once added, you have the flexibility to adjust their permissions. For instance, you might allow mentors to view progress in a training course but restrict their access to viewing feedback. This customisation ensures they have the necessary insights while maintaining confidentiality where needed.
